same with me, anything remotely tasty. WHAT I would give for a KEBAB right now.
Had mine last June in Cheadle - lost 9.5 / 10 stones now.
Been to hell and back with it though. Ive got 8 mls in an 11 ml band - just want to get the last 2 stones off tho hun.
What about you ?

Hi Mini N. Its like a double elastic band hun placed around your stomach and it holds up to 11 mils of saline dependent on how tight you want it - ie. for fast or slow weight loss. Mine is quite tight, I have 8 mils in it. I did have 9.5 mils in it at one point but at that I couldnt even eat an ice pop and keep it down.
8 mils is very restrictive but if I am not silly and eat the sensible foods that it will tolerate I am okay and it stays down. I am unable to tolerate, meat, fish, large peices of chicken, large peices of pasta, bread, eggs, cheese and so on. My golf ball sized stomach wont take it.
I can do soups, vegetables, salads, salad cream (but not mayo) pen top sizes of chicken and pasta, tinned mince, some fruits and the demon of chocolate (which I never used to eat prior the GB op !) Some days I have to eat it though if my stomach cant tolerate anything else, just to get energy.
I have lost just under 10 stones now with 3 more to go and the weight loss is slowing down a bit. I really really DO want to be at least 2 stones lighter when my little girl and I go on our cruise in October but in all seriousness it is VERY PAINFUL. I have had 2 ops, the first one slipped so I had to undergo the whole procedure again. I was also quite ill with it a couple of months ago as I couldnt manage anything at all without it coming back up, I thus ripped the lining of my stomach, was vomiting fresh blood and had to have a blood transfusion. Once I had to race back to the hospital for saline taken out of it because it was so tight, making my stomach the size of a 10p peice I was in agony, I could hardly walk. My Dad had to drive the 120 mile round trip because I couldnt drive, or even get a train. NIGHTMARE.

Is it worth it ? Yes ! because I had terrible back problems being so overweight and thats around 80% fixed now and I can walk again properly. I bound up and down stairs, walk a hell of a lot more these days and am training for the Run for Life at the mo too! People treat me with more respect than what they did when I was 21.5 stones, more people engage in conversation with me and taxi drivers help me with my shopping into the door !
Is it reversible ? Yes - physically - No - Psychologically because who would want to reverse being a size 12 (bottoms) and a 16 top to being a size 30 - 32 top!
Nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy.
Will I have it removed. No, just less restricted when I reach my goal weight to keep in control. At the moment, I wouldnt be confident enough.
Take Care.
