buying a new car

Hi there people. I have a maxamum of �6000 to spend on a car preferably diesel and around 4 years old younger the better. Does anyone have any ideas? i am keen on avauxhall astra ctdi but dont think i can get one for that money. Thanks in advance.

Skoda Fabia / Octavia. Best small car 2005/06 best family car 2005.great to drive, cheep parts, VERY reliable. Very economical to. Good luck in your quest

Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI or 1.9 TDI are a good buy but there aren't too many of them about on the second-hand market.

Ford fusion. Great car. Loads of leg room in the back and has great boot space too. Economical on fuel too.

really like the look of the fabia only thing putting me off is the interior is rather dull

Go with the skoda and hang some decorations in it to brighten it up! tbh, you will spend more time looking outside while you are in it, so does it really matter? Try to get one with a sunroof and it will feel a bit brighter.

think the skoda is looking most likely at the moment although i really do like the astra 1.9 cdti just a little out of my range me thinks
