Bath, that cracked me up! *lol*
sandrajo, I do like to try different things, but if I am going somewhere familiar, I like old favourites! I know tht is just a big contradiction!
My partner doesn't like a lot of the foods I do, so when we are out I will get something I couldn't be bothered to make "for one" at home!

If there are unusual items on the menu then I like to experiment.
But invariably you can not go wrong with a steak. Medium rare with seasonal vegetables and either posh chips or some form of potatoage.
I usually opt for a fishy starters of some description and end with a stodgy pudding. I can not abide the nouvelle cuisine 1cm thick slice of Mauritian tartlet with orange frissel sauce. Give me suet sponge and treacle anyday!!!!

I ama total lost case when it comes to food, I have the palet of a three-year-old!
If it's Italian, spaghetti bolognese is always good.
Chinese - chop suey.
Indian - steak and chips (honest!) unless there is no English food in which case chicken korma with NO speices in it!
Takeaways around these - apart form the Indian of course.
If they'll do me fish fingers, or bacon and tomato, that's ideal, but very places do - odd that!
