back dated csa?
1 Answers
I have paid child maintainance for my 2 daughters through the CSA since 1998 after my ex decided to move on with someone else. I have never missed a payment. However, my financial circumstances change with my job - I often work abroad for a few months or elsewhere in the country and my pay sometimes goes up for a while (then back down again on return). Are the CSA able to track all these fluctiations and will I have to pay backdated amounts to cover the financial fluctuations? Can anyone help with a definate answer as I am worried? Thank you.

He gets overtime but this is not the same amount every month. Some months he gets quite a bit and other months none. The csa said that this is why they take three months worth of wage slips as this can give them an idea of his average earnings. I think (correct me if i'm wrong) that they will only do a reassessment if you inform them in a change of your circumstances or your ex says she/he thinks your circumstances have changed and you haven't let them know. Maybe not the definate answer you were looking for though
