were is the vin number ona a car?

im filling in a form to recieve my log book and teyve requested the vin number. there is a plate under the bonnet but i have no clue which the vin is. could somebody tell me which one i needfto note down. thanks

Vehicle Identification Number It is usually on the floor of the car just inside the drivers door or under the bonnet

How old is the car? There may be a plastic strip on the dash at the bottom of the windscreen?

Dependent on what car you have, look for the long number, probably up the middle of the metal plate in the engine bay, that starts with about 5 letters, then has a mix of numbers and letters.
