Drugs help
19 Answers
One of my friends smoked some cannabis on Tuesday and she said that the affect hasn't worn off yet and she's getting all panicky, I know nothing about drugs so I went on that talk to frank website and got their number but I was just wondering if anyone here has any advice? She said it still feels like she's stoned!

If she were a friend of mine I'd tell her that and also I'd tell her to grow up whilst she's at it, she's getting married in a few weeks? Remind her that she's an adult, so cope getting wasted won't help.
This country would be a much better place if adults behaved like grown ups

As a man I have to say that friends should be truthful to one another.
Your friend has made a bad choice, she made a bad decision at a difficult time and stressful time when sobrierty is called for more than ever.
Remind her of her responsibities to herself, her future husband and her family, this behaviour is unbecoming of an adult and she needs to get a grip.

SKA. I had some green once when I was in Tenereife and NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. It was cloudy and the clouds were becoming like Animals in the sky. 4 hours later I went to the pool and again, Animials in the sky.
Two days later, same effect.
I dont know how to advise you hun but I just wanted to share my experience, if you are not (and I wasnt) used to it then maybe it can have that kind of effect on you.
Could you phone your local doctors on line or something, say she is new to the area, give a false name and date of birth (to remain annonymous) and has not registered with a GP yet. That way it wont go into her medical records.
You sound like a really good friend for what you have done and are doing for her.
Ignore the jibes on here, I had a few yesterday and was advised the same advice. Just ignore the taunts and take on the genuine ones.
I truly hope your friend will be okay. I was - about 5 days later.
Take Care.

smoking hash can manifest its self in all sorts of ways, anxiety is one symptom which can rear its head.
linked in with panic attacks, your friend must be worried.
this may be a sign that she / he cannot handle hash as these symptoms will again be apparent when hash is smoked.
at the end of the day hash is not harmless altogether and must not be veiwed as such.

i was just joking but here's a nice firm answer for you.
Your friend's experience may be due to cannabis use. There is empirical evidence to show that cannabis use may be correlated with an increased risk of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia may involve delusions and paranoia, it's easy to see why both may manifest themselves in panic.
Your friend may have been affected by use of the drug, especially if it's strong skunk.
Different people, different brains, different vulnerability. Cannabis may be great for some, for others, it ruins their lives.
