Has anyone been to Egypt there a trip with a group 15days sometime in Cairo but there is a 7 day cruise I would be grateful to know what sort of accommodation and food they serve on board. Thank you.

It will depend on the standard of cruise you are on. There are 3, 4 & 5 star Nile cruises and obviously the higher the rating, the higher the standard of accommodation, food etc.

Watch out for the old delhi belly on these - it is endemic.

its true dheli belly is rife on Nile Cruises, be sensible only bottled water and no ice in drinks[ scotch & bottled water please] no ice cream or water melon.Try and eat cooked food only as the salad stuff will have been washed in tap
water, think before you eat, no matter how good it looks.
Take diahorrea remedy with you in case and mosquito repellent[ Boots roll on one is good].

Avoid mid summer as the chance of food poisoning is worse. An old friend went on the Nile cruise and came back quite ill.

Thanks for replies, the trip is in September, and with a church group the leader has been before, I certainly avoided the sort of food they had in the Holy Land as people were ill and I brought bottled water and will take some in luggage. Can you get adaptors for small travel kettle is it the same as one for Europe many thanks
