OK. The principal activators include metal-binding agents such as histidine, diphenylthiocarbazone and 8-hydroxyquinoline, as well as glutathione, , glucose-1,6-bisphosphate and divalent cations such as Mg++.
Inhibitors include almost all chelating agents in high concentration, nucleotides, gluconate-6-phosphate and the majority of acetates.
A chilled acetate buffer at pH 5.0 is normally the preferred method of storage but activity will deteriorate over around two months. PH limits are 4.5 and 8.5 during storage
