plughole cleaner?

When I look down my bathroom sink plughole thingy I can see a build of of gunge. I've put bleach down it but it's not really budging. Is there a small brush-like tool I can buy - obviously small enough to fit through the small metal holes? Something like the brushes I used to use years ago to clean my babies bottles? Thanks in advance.

If the gunge isn't too far down, try a pipe-cleaner or even a cotton bud. Make sure you don't lose them down the hole!

Alternatively, you could buy some Mr. Muscle Sink & Plughole Unblocker. it comes in an orange plastic bottle. It does a very good job.
Try putting in about a dessertsp. baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) then add vinegar when the foaming stops put a kettle of boiling water down.

Washing soda is also effective if its greasy. Good luck
There are small bottle brushes that are made for cleaning teapot spouts. One of these will easily pass through the plughole. Loads of examples here.
Afterthought...You could try a long thin screwdriver to dislodge the gunge.
Is your plughole thingy the type that opens and closes up and down with a plunger on the back of the faucet. If so, you do know how to remove it, don't you? It makes the cleaning much easier...
