printer help please
10 Answers
I despair! I returned what I thought was a faulty printer yesterday, now the new one is doing the same thing ie NOTHING. Lights are on, nobody in. Funnily enough both printers successfully printed two pages before they decided to take a long vacation.
I have tried all the help sections online, any ideas???

I'm sure everybody finds different, but I tend to go the OS way - most of the printers have a driver already loaded, unless it is a very new model, in which case it will ask you to put in the disk and look for the drivers itself on the CD.

the thing with printers is as androcles says .... they generally already have the drivers ... what's missing is the clever "add-ons" that help manage some of the facilities.
the thing with usb is it's generally installed the opposite way round to "normal" drivers ie ... drivers first.
the other thing is ... you need disc space to cram it all into.

open my computer
to display your computer (?!)
right click on C: and take the properties option ... that will show you used and free space.
