Has anyone here ever used Hodia Gordonii as a weight loss aid? Did it work and were there any undesirable side effects? My fiance has ordered some and i'm interested in hearing the opinions of people who have tried them.

Hi Daffy654

Yes I used them - they did not work. No matter what or where you buy them they are not the genuine article.

The genuine thing (Cactii) is protected by the African people - probably by the American government by now and I think it wont be on sale until the wrangle between the African people and American government be sorted out.

All sellers profess theirs to be the genuine one - dont be fooled.

Thanks for your answer homerbart,I will tell my fiance not to expect too much from them then,he will be disappointed that he has wasted his money on them.
I tried them too and they did absolutely nothing. I really wanted them to work but i might as well of swallowed a vitamin pill and saved my money.

If and when your fiance gets them - if he doesn't open the box he can send them back and get a refund.
I've also heard Hoodia is not genuine, as the plants real Hoodia is derived from are endangered and protected from mass harvesting.

Maybe it's the placaebo effect with me, but I've been taking Hoodia mints, purchased from Holland and Barratt for about 3 weeks now and I find I'm not eating as much as I normally do, so far I've lost about 6 pounds.
