I have a victoran pewter jug engraved with a name and Silver Lion
-Pennyfields Poplar.
Does this area still exist or has been regenerated?

It seems the Silver Lion was a public house .
Pennyfields in Poplar still does exist in what is now London E14
My childrens Great Grandmother was born at 6 Silver Lion Court in April 1902, that was the tenements behind the Silver Lion. I have a map from pre WW2 that still shows it i think, but most of the east End was rebuilt after the Blitz

Many thanks shaneystar2 & dothawkes. The name on the item was C.Manzi,a fairly common name in the east end at that time im told.Website is also new to me.Tnanks again.
