HGV Driver...good job?

Hi Im thinking of retraining to become a HGV Driver and I was wondering how much it costs and if its worth doing? I currently earn �20-22k a year can I earn this as a HGV Driver in the UK?

i am an ex h g v driver .why do u wont to go down over in wages .? u earn up to 22k dont think u will get that sort of wage driveing hgv s,all that motor way traffic, idiots on the roads,away at nights from your family , sleeping in your cab with just your telly ,or staying in some bed and breakfast.my advice is simple. stay well clear its not as glamous as you may think .hope that helps think hard and long before you give up your 22k. but good luck its your future (15years hgv and others have been a lot more than me)

Hi late reply to this, If i could have retrained my brain earlier I would have done, 35+yrs on the things, If you want a life my friend & live, keep away from the things, As said everyone thinks its great, belive me, its not as great as sleeping in your own bed at night,
