I'm travelling from London to Australia and stopping for just a coule of hours in Singapore to change flights. What happens to my luggage as I go from one flight to the next?  What happens if I miss my connecting flight due to delays or something?  Stressing already... thanks

If you are not actually leaving the airport, just in transit, your luggage will get put in transit too and you wont have to worry about it. When you check in in London just double check with them that your luggage will be going all the way to Australia. I've done the journey a few times and it always turns up on the carousel at the end without me having to haul it through airports on the way. Airlines usually allow enough time for delays (hence the couple of hours spent in airport transit terminals on the way) and so they can clean, refuel, etc the plane. If you are worried about anything ring the airline or travel agency - they get these queries all the time.

Thank you!  Feel much better now!
Hope you have a good trip!

the airlines have a remarkably good record of getting luggage to the right place at the right time.   In 400 odd flights I've not had mine arrive at the right time twice, and both were because of changes in flights at the last minute.  Both times the case arrived at my hotel within 24 hours.

Enjoy Singapore airport - it is the best in the world and carry your swimming costume - there is a beautiful swimming pool on the roof!

Plus for two hours they will not let you leave Singapore airport as this is for transfer times of 5 or more hours, which is no hardship in singapore airport as Bangkok says it is the best in the world!
