Unsecured loans with BAD credit

I need to get an unsecured loan, but I have an awful credit rating. I know its not going to be easy, I was just wondering if anyone had any companies they would recommend, or knew of any I should stay away from.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I'm not a position where I have the time to save. What I really need is a loan of about �5000, and fast! The long term aspects are not a huge issue, as long as the interest isn't too ridiculous. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid the people you should stay way from are the very people you are looking for. I know you don't want to hear this but ansteyg is 100% correct - anyone that is prepared to give an unsecured loan to someone with a bad credit rating is going to charge ridiculous interest. If you think you've got problems now, just wait til you sign up with one of those loan sharks.

I can only agree with the previous two posts, the interest will be very high. Try Empire Finance, although I think it will be extremely unlikely that you'll get an unsecured loan for 5k, specially if you not a homeowner

Whatever you do, do not touch Welcome Finance, I have used them, and it cost me double, and a lot of hassle to go with it.

Do yourself a favour, make deals with your debtors, and work your way through, they wont charge so much, and you'll learn with it. Whatever you do, make sure you talk to them, that way they know whats going on.
