why do people feel the need to travel the country at easter when the roads are jammed the weather is diabolical and everything is 50 times more expensive, why not book a couple days off work any other time and go then? and what is the point of dragging a huge chemical toilet ( caravan) around with you only to park it in a field and do nothing then drive home?
Exactly China, anyone would think they were worried they'd starve!
bob you should stay in today and not venture out onto the roads I fear you may do some damage :)
you would not get me out at eater bobs because as you rightly point out there would be mass murder, does it have to be easter? are they incapable of going any other time? why go somewhere when you know 3 million people are thinking the same thing?
Because most folk (not me though, im working) get four days from work and not the normal 2, that being a weekend. Good on 'em for wanting to get away- they work hard all year- why not?
boo most people get ample stat holiday days at work, kids seem to be on holiday from school every other week common sense would imply to go on a nice day when there are less people around instead of acting like those lemmings that jump off cliffs because everyone else does it
Oh cheers Hellie, I've come to my mums for the weekend but she's decorating at my step dads so they've nothing in the house, would you mind getting me some bits and bobs too please? I only need dinner for tonight and I think possibly for Sunday too.
By the way... I don't have an easter egg either at the moment... hint, hint!
I can understand it completely bob, before we moved to the countryside we lived in Central london, hadn't seen anywhere clean and fresh since the previous years holiday, so as soon as the first bank holiday appears we all cleared off out of london to the nearest beach or country pub, and it really did make you feel so much better. the crap bit was going back on the monday, so we always took that off and went home tuesday.
Yeah but that's my point bob- why use your holidays up when you've got 4 days together as a "free" holiday? Can't blame folks for wanting to make the best of it.
Hya bob, I know what you mean, and as soon as they make it to where they're going after a day of traffic jams, it's time for them to turn round and head off back home, lol xxx
take a monday off any monday boo and leave on a friday, be a bit more pleasant wouldn't it? weather better, less traffic less hassle and book into a nice hotel instead of sitting in a field and going to the toliet in a bucket, sorted, bobs your uncle
I can see we aint gonna agree here Bob. My whole point is....why take a Monday off at all, thus using up your own holiday entitlements when you're given this one as a freeby?
I can understand why people want to get away, with the kids being off and an extra two days. But I am completely with China on the supermarket thing. I went to Morrisons this morning, it was DREADFUL. I know a lot of people have family coming on Sunday, but most were buying enough to feed a small Russian state for a week.
