lost remote

i have lost my remote key for corsa 2003, went to get a replacement at vauxhall going to cost �105 but because i havent got the code for the key so going to cost an extra �20 on top,can i get a replacement anywhere else,am in fife area scotland, any answers would be appreciated

Can you claim on you car insurance or your house insurance? I have lost key insurance with mt credit card cover.

thanks for your reply, did phone car insurance but as my excess is �135 and would effect my no claims and premiums, also contacted home insurance but dosent cover so will probaly just have to cough up the money,thats what i pay for being careless eh...

You might save a little by going for a non remote key, if you can bear to be like the rest of us and put the key into the lock.
