Broadband Connection
I am trying to use my broadband connection from my PC to access the Internet on my laptop, but no matter what I do, my laptop doesn't seem to want to connect. I know it's possible because I've done it before, but there seems to be some reason that it won't connect now. I have tried unplugging the modem, re-booting the laptop and then plugging the modem back in, etc., etc., but that old trick doesn't work. Shouldn't it be a pretty straightforward process of me being able to plug my modem into my laptop and it connects me to the Internet just like on my PC?

You can get around this by using a proxy service on the main computer. This way only one computer is seen as connecting by the modem.
Free Proxy works well.
