Probably.
To the best of my knowledge, Police Officer swear allegiance to the Queen NOT the pathethic Home Office.
As soon as Gordon Brown, with his pug faced one-eyed smirk dies and this truely foul and muslim-loving Government are blown to bits from some disgruntled citizen, the better if you ask me.

Sorry I'm not with you all on this one. Their rules are that tattoos on the lower arm are prohibited as they look unprofessional. In summer you do see officers in short sleeved shirts and frankly I think he would look a complete yob with ENGLAND the whole way up his arm. I espect more gravitas from my local bobby.
And I think his accusation that the recruitment officer said it would offence non-English people is complete flannel.

If it really is his lie long dream then he would have it removed and apply again! Despite my love of tattoos I am inclined to agree with Meglet. It's not a subtle tattoo is it. He should have thought about this, if he didn't think that a tattoo in a visible place would effect his ability to get into the police force then he truly does not have the brain power to make it very far as a copper.

It looks f*kin awful. These are the rules..
Home Office policy precludes applications with tattoos on lower arm, hand, face or neck that are prominent, which may cause offence and/or invite provocation from the public or colleagues.
..well it looks pretty prominent to me, so that's tough isn't it. As Goodsoulette says, if he feels that strongly about it he'll remove it and re-apply.

Call me old fashioned but I think all tattoos are sleazy. They are a complete turn off for me. if my husband came home with one I would never forgive him. I also warned my son that I would not tolerate him having a tattoo. I think it stems fom my childhood when it was only rough people who had tattoos and it has stayed with me.
