When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

When the law break in
How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement
Or waiting on death row

How old are you?
I think you should demand prison, get yourself on some sort of basic literacy course and then start afresh when you get out....
I answered a similar question recently, here:

If you look at that post, you'll see that it was based upon information from the Crown Prosecution website and that of the Sentencing Guidelines Council. I've also done a bit of court reporting for the local press, so this post is (hopefully) slightly better than pure guesswork.

If you've got a reasonably clean record, and a really good barrister, you might be able to keep the sentence down to 18 months (of which you'd serve 9). More realistically, you're probably facing a sentence of around 3 years (with18 months 'inside'). If you've got previous convictions for violence, the worst that could happen might be an IPP sentence. That's similar to a life sentence, where the judge sets a tariff for the minimum term that you'll serve in prison before being considered for release. If an IPP was passed, you'd probably spend around 4 or 5 years in prison.

Another poster by the name of Amy..... asked this question

An MP's son was convicted of hitting someone with a bottle and was imprisoned. You would have been entitled to use reasonable force providing you were acting in self-defense and had not caused or contributed to the situation. However, using a bottle as a weapon would not be considered reasonable under the circumstances. In fact, you are lucky not to be up on a murder or manslaughter charge since you could easily have fractured someone's skull and caused internal bleeding or possibly leave them paralysed for life for which you could be sued with damages against running into all of your future earning capacity.
At the end of the day life is about making choices and the consequences of the choices you have made. You will be facing the consequences of the choice you made. You need to get proper legal advice and consider the circumstances that have got you into this situation and how you are going to live the rest of your life.
I wish you well.
