Hi guys. i recently purchased a laptop to replace my PC. On my pc i have an Outlook account, but want to use the same email address on my laptop so i get the emails being sent to my pc as i am getting rid of my pc. My laptop has Vista in which Outlook is now called Windows Mail. Could anyone tell me how to use the same email account?

Not clear exactly what you mean. Outlook is Outlook on any operating system. If you're trying to say that Outlook Express is now called Windows mail then you'll need to set up the account manually i think.

Go into accounts on your Outlook Express and copy all the details of your servers down exactly including every dot and create a new account in Windows mail with these settings. They'll look the same more or less in Windows mail, it's not too different, it just based on Microsoft Outllook rather than Outlook Express

thank you. I guess that it is for transferring from OE to Vista as opposed to transferring from PC to laptop. It was helpful but it is ony for upgrading to Vista on the same PC

But you can still use it.

After you have done all the various exports, move the files from the PC to the laptop, then do the imports.

I think it should still work.
