really BAD mouth ulsers!!
9 Answers
I have always had ulcers every now and then but last monday i burnt my tongue pretty bad in one spot.I knew that this would cause ulcers the next and it did,a tiny cluster of them where the burn was and a big one on the inside of my bottom lip.I still have the one on my bottom lip but the ones on my tongue were going away. Now they are back and i have them on top of tongue, the side and under my tongue!! I can count 14 all together and they are not even where i burn my tongue but spread out.As you can imagine i am in a lot of pain and that is why i am not still in bed on a bank holiday!!
Does anyone know why this could of happened? and how i can get rid of them?
Thanks for reading this and sorry for boring you all!!

Try taking a multi-vitamin tablet as well, especialy with zinc to boost your immune system.
Also try soluble solpadeine for the pain.
It will be painful but keep your teeth clean as well.
Take care

I agree on the toothpaste advice - I suffered for years before changing to a non-SLS paste, which worked wonders.
Personally, I find Corsodyl too harsh - I prefer Gengigel mouthwash - unlike others, it coats your mouth and soothes the ulcers (it's one of the newest ones on the market - you can get it at some chemists).
Hope you feel better soon.

I get `Adcortyl in Orabase` from my GP and as soon as I feel what may be an ulcer coming, I apply a little on a cotton-bud last thing at night and it`s gone in the morning. Ulcers are a virus which is permanent in the body and hides in the system until it decides it`s time to show itself again. In the meantime keep your mouth extra clean at all times. I personally find bananas start mine off.
