Windows Word. Put marker on page for easy folding?
Many months ago i read somewhere that it is possible to put a miniscule mark on the outer edge of a page, so the bottom of the A4 page could brought to the mark and thereby guarantee the letter would slip easily into a DL envelope.
I think one had to use the drawing toolbar. Anyone with any idea how to, please? If so, words of one syllable would be appreciated! B

it depends on your printer ... but draw a line approx 1-1.5 cm - colour 50% grey
copy and paste so you end up with four
right click the first format | autoshape | layout | advanced | picture position.
set the horizontal absolute to 0cm to the right of the page
(this applies to all the lines)
and vertical to absolute
0cm below page
9.9cm bp
19.8cm bp
and finally
29.68bp
select all the 4 lines and group
add your name address etc in the right place ... plus any other text
if using windowed envelope ... measure it and draw a text box the same size - position in the top section in same way as lines
save the document as 3fold.dot
