Does this make me a bad person?

I bought a digital camera in a charity shop last weekend and I've just sold it on eBay for 4 x the amount I paid! Should I go back to the charity shop and give them the money? Any thoughts? x

I don't think you need to reporach yourself. The charity offered the item at what they consider to be an acceptable pricce, which you paid for it. Once in your possession, it's yours to dispose of as you see fit - and if you make a profit, then good luck to you!
If you still feel bad, why not offer 'over-the-odds' for the next few items you buy over the next few weeks and months - this will re-dress the moral balance, without damaging your profit margin.

I don't think so, you bought the camera in good
faith so it is yours to do what you want with it. I
have watched programmes eg Flog It where
people have bought items in the charity shops
for a few pence and sold them at auction for
hundreds or maybe thousands of pounds.! So
good luck you are very enterprising! You can
donate to charity at another time!!

You have ALREADY donated the fee to the charity and the camera was donated to them so you have done your bit hunny!
And I say ................................
charity begins at home !!!! and besides which, you have EARNED that money by ebaying it, paying the fee, post and packing it and making lots of people happy. eg. the charity, yourself and your buyer ! Oh and also The Royal Mail for your contribution to the billions of pounds they make every year.
There is no such thing as GUILT in business hun !
Take it easy - but as I always say -------- TAKE IT ANYWAY.
