I agree wholeheartedly with you Doc Spock but, until the powers that be change the law what can "Joe Public" do? Im all for corporal and capital punishment be it the stocks,public flogging etc. Prisoners should just be given bread and water and "Life" should mean just that! On the condition of the prisoner being proved 100% guilty as in this case then yes,hanging or lethal injection should be brought back!

I think any other family she had should have intervened skyep. They must have had their suspicions about what was going on. I noticed in the report the grandson remembered his grandma for financial reasons not for whether she was a nice person.

With regard to the poor Lady being starved to death,
what a crazy sentence.,

The Judge Christopher Tyrer described it as a "horrific" case, and said: "You allowed your wife to starve to death.

If he thought it was that horrific, why did he only give him 18 months.
I cant imagine how much she must have suffered!!!!!

it said she got down to four and a half stone, for a full grown adult that must have been so painful to be that skinny and fragile, that man should get more than a year and a half

What is even worse FKN is he will probably only serve about half of that. I hope someone appeals the sentence in that case! In my opinion it is unduly lenient.
