Which is the best security software for my wireless laptop.

AVG or Avast! antivirus
ZoneAlarm or Comodo firewall
Spybot Search and Destroy for Malware/Trojan Detection
Ad-Aware to be used alongside the latter.

That's all you really need.All this stuff is free and won't hog your system resources like Norton etc.

Incidentally, if you use the wireless connection, make sure that all the security options are enabled on your wireless modem/router. If you don't, you risk your neighbours and passers-by accessing your broadband connection.

The procedure is pretty straightforward and should be on the disc provided with your modem/router.

I use Comodo Firewall, antivir for the antivirus plus Spybot search and destroy on mine.
