50th Birthday Gift

My sister is 50 in a couple of weeks. Any ideas for an unusual gift - she is into the environment. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you all.

Bet she hasn't been to see a play for ages.

Maybe have a star or rose bush named after her. Or plant a tree in her name. I think you can do that.

dont give her a present, absolutely everything will have a direct or indirect carbon footprint no matter how small,

dont visit her either,

if you walk an amount of shoe material will wear away and need replacing earlier,

if you go barefoot you must choose not to use water (a valuable resource) to clean up,

dont call her there is electricity involved which has a fossil fuel footprint or even worse nuclear,

you can shout a greeting as loud as you can,

why dont you adopt an endangered animal in her name and pay for it
one of my friends did that for me koz it was me b-day last Feb and i really ment alot to me :-)

try searching for gifts of india they are gorgeous pressies and dont cost the earth! get it ' dont cost the earth' ok
