Sorry about the title, i didn't know what to call this thread so just typed something.

I'd like some advice, when i've been waking up recently, i've not been feeling refreshed. I just don't want to get out of bed and when i do i feel very unrefreshed. I've tried having a cold shower and drinking lots of coffee in the morning but that hasn't helped. This is getting quite serious, i've been late to work 3 times this week. Good job my boss is on holiday!

Any advice on what i should do, this is my last resort before pills.

Thanks all.

Have you been going to bed early enough? also have you been winding down before bed?

its important to have nothing going on in your mind before bed because you can spend all night with broken sleep and waking up worrying.
Aww that sucks -im with cazz on that but however if this is not normal for you I would strongly recommend you have a word with your GP -you may have an underlying prob which would be easy to fix.TC xx

I think the problem might be something to do with the amount of stress i've been getting recently.

Thats life.

Thanks for your answers.
I know what you mean Wix, It must be about 3 months since I had a good nights sleep, and when you try to sleep you just toss and turn, Im in the middle of moving house, and half a dozen other private matters that keep me awake most of the night, if I sit down through the day even for a few moments I have to stop myself from nodding off, I do find breathing slowly and deeply helps. Try to stay clear of pills, they can become addictive, Good luck, xxx

I know you dont want to take pills BUT when I have a load on my mind and have gone nights without a decent sleep I take a Nytol -it does work and I only ever use them very occasionally.Armed with a good nights sleep you are more able to deal with stress you are under.
Just a wee suggestion and i'm not trying to advocate pill popping but just sometimes you have to succumb. That is all just my opinion.Hope things get easier for ya tho xx
