I have a small garden and recently ripped up some block paving as it was dark and dismissal.

I have now decided to move as I need a bigger garden. I need some ideas to replace the block paving that will not cost a great deal and will be effective.

Thank you in advance

Gravel on a premeable membrane is quick and not too expensive, not the pea-gravel tnough ,Ideal cats toilet!
Another alternative would be bark chippings. If the new owners of the house don't like them, they can easily scoop them up and put them on flowers beds and borders which they will improve the soil in due course or act as a mulch so they won't be wasted. Perhaps if you stick a nice container with an interesting shrub or plant on the area it question it won't look so stark and uninteresting.
