What is the difference between the two? I'm a young skally-wag and don't have enough experience to tell. It would be nice to be reassured that I'm just feeling lusty towards the person in question, rather than in love, because the person doesn't feel the same! :-)
Lust has biologically physical symptoms i.e physical desire but you may not particularly 'like' the person.
Love is more emotional, feelings of wanting to care for and protect, wanting to be in the other persons company because you enjoy being with them, feelings of friendship.
The problem is of course that the symptoms are easiliy confused and not mutually exclusive so you never can tell which you are feeling :-D
Both helpful answers! So yeah, the physical desire is DEFINITELY there. What about feeling unusually jealous when he is in company with different girls? Another lust symptom? I actually find myself worrying so much that he's meeting new girls and will eventually get a girlfriend, even though he says he absolutely doesn't want a girlfriend and he isn't like that anyway!
I don't think I've ever felt like this although I am prone to long crushes!
Is this person a friend of yours? If they don't feel the same way, maybe you should try to forget about him in that way! You can't live your life worried he will find a girlfriend as chances are he will eventually!
Let go and put it down to 'fancying him' you'll feel a lot better!
We have all had thes type of crushes in our lives but end up falling in Love with the right one! x x
Oh well I'm off to uni in september anyway, and have no fantasies that we'll end up together forever or anything like that!!! It's just putting up with these feelings until then. It's taking over just a little bit.
Yes, we're very very very good friends, but whenever i see him... well, you get the picture!!! It's good to know other people have felt the same and got through it though! x
Well I would wonder how long have you known this person? What about him/her attract you? If the things you like are mostly physical than it's most likely lust.
