Was it Anne Boleyn? Her son James when to the throne and died very young, then his sister Elisabeth I was proclaimed Queen, not sure though.

Ann Bolyn's son was Edward VI. This was her only child. He was succeeded by Mary I, his half sister, though he tried to change the line of succesion to get Lady Jane Grey to be made Queen upon his death. Mary was suceeded by another half-sister, Elizabeth I. All 3 had Henry VIII as their father, but all had different mothers.

Anne Boleyn's only child was Elizabeth I. Edward was the son og Jane Seymour.

i think the answer might be Anne Hyde. She was the First wife of James II and the mother of Mary II and Anne.

How about Eleanor of Aquitaine?

She was wife of Henry II & mother of King Richard I &  King John.

Don't know about the age, I think she was about 70 when she died!
