I think so, but they didn't put much into the advertising budget. The Product name is very nearly rude too (lose the first i).
saw it today in homebase.
Like an idiot, I fell for the TV advert showing 'one wipe' over the rotten old wall tiles and he presto ......... This stuff is no better or worse than the other spray cleaners available. My shower tiles could do with regrouting but the demonstration on TV showed tiles far mankier than mine EVER get. Cillit Bang did nothing to improve them.
haven't tried it but did look at the packaging and it says you need to wear gloves but on adverts it doesn't show them wearing any. My sister sprayed some on tiles and it damaged the finish on them (nasty stuff)
I tried it on an old baking tin and it came up sparkling. It's got lime in so you do need to wear gloves.I havent tried it on anything else yet.
It is - Asda sells it they also sell a new product called something like: kazam - something simular

Probably just me, but I'd use it all up on making my coins nice and shiny!

I have been obsessed by this ad and done lot of research on the net. It's a real product made by Reckiit Benckiser (big chemical company who also make harpic and finish).

The advert was cobbled together on a tiny budget from product demos shot in hungary!

I have put together a Cillit Bang FAQ page - everything you need to know about Cillit Bang here at

Apparently Barry Scott used it and ever since his lips do not move in synch with his voice. I would steer well clear if thats what it does!
