Questioning Friendship.
4 Answers
Had a friend up for the weekend and I have been hanging out with her and her mates. We go to this alternative comedy night in Soho, some of her old mate join us we're having a good time.
Later in the show a comedian starts joking about with me then after we'd exchanged afew words told the audience to come and stab me.
Then I guess that was it for me I stood up and told him not to make a joke about being stabbed cause it's no joke. I was grabbed form behing by two bouncers who held my arms and escorted me out of the building.
We waited for 25 minutes and my friend still didn't come out to see if I was ok...I left there without saying goodbye.
The point I'm trying to get to is I feel kind of let down by my friend and her mates. Why didn't she come out? Is her's a normal reaction? Should I trust her as a friend?
I mean if it had been her I would of come out, but she was there with a lot of old friends.
You see my point? What do you think?

Anyway, regarding your friend, well I would agree her reaction was strange. Maybe she was embarassed by the situation and didn't know what to do. Had you been my friend, I would, at the very least have gone out into the lobby area and phoned you, to say I was staying to see the end of the show, but would give you a call later.
The only way you will know, is if you ask her. Maybe she doesn't see your friendship in the same way as you do.

I agree with Velvetee, strange behaviour is likely to stir up your relationship - especially in this set of circumstances. I agree that you should talk to her and make sure she gets what went on that night.
It's important to be honest with her as lying always stirs the relationship and, if found out, the relationship could be severely crippled (Usually over)
