Hmmm - maybe fell a bit flat, and the subplot of his own personal 'mystery' being left unresolved was a tad frustrating.

However, I don't think him and her were ever going to work.

Not a bad read, though. Kept me reading on, wanting to know what would happen next, so that has to be a plus.
