Opportunity to "dress up"

Have you had an eventful day special or otherwise? Just seen my granddaughter go off to her first school formal, dressed like a princess, her friends looking equally beautiful. How times have changed I have never been to school formal, did get you get the chance to "dress up" .

no I didnt!!!, the year after I left they started having "prom night" at my school! grrr!!!

I hope my daughter has a prom, I will make sure she is the belle of the ball!!!!!

That's so sweet Mary, we never had anything like that when I was at school apart from our leaving do which was just a rowdy mass of noise and arguing really :)
I had a fantastic day and I'm hoping tomorrow is just as good, I am so happy at the moment! :)

I had a prom, but didn't wear a prom dress. Had a sexy black number with no back, bit risky for a 15 year old, but I looked hot lol
Not had any reason to since, but my sister is getting married in september, so gonna hunt for a knock out dress!! - x

I don't recall even having a leaving do! I work in a school and the prom is taken very seriously with everyone dressing up. A lot of time is spent in the planning and the photos afterwards are lovely. I think it's great that the young people have the opportunity to go to something like it.
