It depends very much on mrs b.

She may be a robust, down to earth woman who prefers to know the truth and can cope with knowing the truth.

Or she may be very vulnerable and need to be told 'everything will be alright'.

Your relationship with mrs b will also influence how you should talk to her. If you are a paid carer who doesn't see her regularly then maybe you should just fob her off.

well I personally find it quite worrying that every question or asignment you are having to do for your course you have to get the answers from here! I am not meaning to sound awful but are you not learning anything from the course to enable you to work things out for yourself?
mrs b has the right to no what is actually wrong with her, if she is fully with it then i would tell her if you feel in an awkward situation then ask one of her family to talk with her or even her doctor
