About 5 days ago I went passed a mobile camera - on the other side of the road facing towards me. It didn't flash but I was doing about 36

Would I have noticed it or are they video cameras now - it was a grey box on a tripod about the size of a big shoebox

I am hourly expecting a nasty letter in the post

The mobile ones don't flash interele

Cross you fingers

Also, prepare yourself for loads of patronising comments coming your way on this thread.

All the stifled views come out from the yoghurt knitting sandal wearers when speeding is involved.

Best of luck mate
I would imagine static cameras flash so they don't have to fit a light/exposure meter.
Mobile cameras are the same as an ordinary camera, you don't need flash except for artistic purposes. Expect a letter through the post.
By the way, serves you right for speeding,
I tried knitting yoghurt once but it dripped all over my sandals.
There goes the first one already

Watch out for:
"tell that to the people who have been injured"
"speeding is speeding"
"hope they throw the book at you"
"If it saves one life"
"try sticking to the speed limit"
"You've no right to break the law"

We could play bingo here, first one to get all those answers in one thread wins.
You might (and I stress might!) be ok, 36 is pretty close to the limit especially when taking into account the slight discrepincies in most cars speedos which will normally read a couple of miles an hour over with that and considering speed cameras in a 30limit are not normally set off untill you get to about 33-34mph you may just be ok, keep a closer eye out for those cameras in future!

Speed does not kill, inappropriate speed in inappropriate places kills

I put my hands up and admit my sins. It's a good job the government were on the ball catching me. For one minute there I thought they might be more interested in the van that 'undertook' me and the learner in front of me by driving on the pavement. Phew, it's nice to know the government has it's priorities right.
