liver disease in dogs

can somebody please tell me what are the best foods for a dog who has liver disease, I cant find anything that tells me the best things I can do, he is in the early stages so I can help

Most important is to keep the protein levels so they are not too high and not too low. The easiest way is to feed one of the veterinary prescription diets such as Hills or Pedigree, which are specially formulated for dogs with liver problems.
