Does anyone know the jazz track on the 2008 Homebase TV ad? The title and the Jazz Band? ( It could be Stevedore Stomp .. not sure)

It might be Duke Ellington but I'm not sure - it sounds like him. Don't know the name of the song though.
Hi - me again - I think you're right - it could be Chris Barber - for God's sake someone out there put us out of our misery!!

yes it could be Chris Barber , he played Ellington's Stevedore Stomp on his 1979 album Echoes Of Ellington.
Hi,

The track is called "Double Check Stomp" it is a Duke Ellington tune, although others including Chris Barber have recorded various versions.

I cannot identify who is playing the version on the ad, but it could possibly be 'Mills Ten Black Berries' a pseudonym that was used in the 1930's for the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
