, Hi Abers I know this is not the correct programme to ask this question but this is the brains dept, (serious) Perhaps somebody could answer the question or guide me to the correct dept. What I want to know is the formula for converting litres per 100 kilom to miles per gallon Afew years since I was at school, (over 60) Thanks in advance if you can help.

Er, sir.prize, that's OK for US gallons, but for UK gallons:

Divide the number of litres per 100 km into 282�48 to give MPG

Hi Sir. It was the spelling of 'liters' and the reference to 'Windy City Chapter' that gave it away!
