What is the highest valuation given on the antiques roadshow?

That beautiful painting that was found in an  attic in 1980 which turned out to be Richard Dadd'd lost masterpiece must come fairly close.

"The  Artist's Halt in the Desert" was valued then about �100,000 before being sold to the British Museum, you can only guess at its worth today.

i saw one where the guy had an original pair of colt peacemakers, in the box with the ammo and powder to make more ammo etc

it was bought in the great exibition and still had the receipt signed by Samuel Colt!!!!

 

think they went for near on a million or so

They showed a few of the American Roadshows once. Some gut walked in with a dusty old rug. Turned out to be an original Native American tribal rug thing and was valued at $250,000.
