All we ever experience is the mild variations in air currents which is a perfectly normal part of air travel....it feels uncomfortable but modern planes can cope no problem.
It`s only when you hit groundshear or another plane`s jetwash that you get serious trouble, and these events are so rare that you`d have more chance of winning the lottery 2 weeks in a row.
Lighten up..........it`s the safest way to travel.
PS......do you know that the most dangerous passenger plane ever built was statistically Concorde?
Based on fatalities against actual miles flown. Just shows that statistics can prove anything.
