I suppose the crux is that muddle England (sic) pay an awful lot of hard earned share prices to say in these luxury hotels and one ought to expect better of the back room boys, or servants as one likes to call those ungrateful unwashed churls.
They should try the B&B I stayed at in Bournemouth for a real eye-opening stomach-churner!

I saw this - it was gross! I think it's one of those things you're best off not thinking about. Yes, if I were paying 3,200 a night for a suite at the Mayfair, I wouldn't expect dirty sheets, blood on the curtains and the sink and glass in the bathroom to have been washed with the loo brush, but if all that had happened, I'd rather not know about it. Yak.
Luckily, I can easily say now that I'll boycott the Mayfair Hotel, and swear I will never stay there. hahaha

Its widely practiced in all big hotels 5* down to 2* and holiday camps, its been so for years.
I worked in holiday camps many years ago and couldn't believe what went on behind the scenes, especially in the kitchen.
I also worked for a very high class hotel in ?????? and the guest were fleeced in all departments.
Apart from having a full-time hotel inspector in every hotel, it will still go on.
Last nights programme was nothing new.

It would put you off going on holiday, the
exhorbitant price these hotels charge is
sacrilege. They complained about lack of
cleaning products etc, send them to the pound
shop where you can buy sponges cloths
disinfectant and a little ebow grease wouldn't
go amiss, think I'll spend my holidays in the
back garden and later watch videos of the
West End Shows so that I won't have to stay
overnight in a "luxury hotel"
