Whilst driving home this afternoon, I was waiting to pull out onto a busy A road (turning right). A driver level with me waiting to turn left onto same busy road was not moving at all even when road obviously clear both ways Think he was lost. I could see all traffice to my right, but none past his car. i had to wait and accepted this. behind me a car pulled up and started blasting his horn at me to move. I oculd not see round the other car. When Icould move out, he sat v close to my car (in a 60 limit) We joined a mandatory 40 limit and he made a great show of overtaking me! I felt so angry!!!! Not at being overtaken but by his attitude. He must have realised my exit at the junction earlier was obscured. I asm normall calm when driving but am so angry about this ignorance!! it seems no-one bothers to read the road or situation in front of them anymore.

Don't let it bother you ,this is how road rage starts.

When i was having hgv instruction, my tutor told me that when you lose your temper, you lose controll, and i believe this to be very true.
on my way home i get to the end of a road and i need to turn left, often the car in front needs to turn left also but then needs to take an immediate right, they sit waiting until traffic is clear from left and right before going instead of turning left into the middle of the road and waiting until it is clear for them to turn right, this has caused me to leave my vehicle go up to said car and tell them to move as i would like to be home in time for xmas.
tractors at 8am and 4.30pm why?

people driving at speeds less than 30mph why?

van drivers blocking a lane of traffic so they can unload their crap why?

Hi logic. Think I was close to that! It is the general attitude that p*s me off, not the action itself as anyone can make an error of judgement. Sad really I think. I calmed down not long after. Do not find driving to be much of a pleasure. my journey is along an 'A' road, mostly rural, with steady flow of traffic, but serves as the only road between two towns. Add (some unnecssary) school traffic. Think a lot of people just want to get along it as quickly as poss. Thanks for reply.

Think we need to get the '70's style Public information films back again. Remember the green cross code & the 2 second rule type? To get basic road info back into the public consciousness.!
Trouble is, Bee, people do not want educating, they know it all allready,
The thing is that the guy that passed his driving test this morning, is just as qualified as you are, maybe not as experienced, but that's a different thing.
Not guilty I was at home .
That's one suspect elliminated.
Bee, these drivers who do that are bl00dy dangerous. Same thing happened to me one morning on the way to work and the guy road raged me, he had 2 kids in the car too and pulled up beside me at the next set of lights and was swearing and all arms flailing etc. I was terrified in case he got out the car.
I took his number and reported him. I was so upset by the time I got to work that i damaged my own car on metal gates going into the car park and took my door handle off. I was shaking all over.

Thanks for all responses. It's funny how annoyed you can get in these instances. Today a bus pulled out of a depot (on same semi-rural A road). he did not really allow enough time to get out but as it is on a long clear stretch I adjusted my speed in time, did not have to slow down too much. I was not at all annoyed because the driver had to make the decision to move when he did. he thanked me. We had both read the road. It's all in the attitude - that's what stinks with aforementioned driver!
