Cranford

I've just finished watching "Cranford" the DVD (2 disc)
Missed it on TV.
I am puzzled the ending didn't really answer any questions. Did I miss something or was it deliberately left like that.
Did Judy Dench come out of the poverty trap she fell into? & did the young Doctor get back with Sophie? it was all left up in the air..........
Have I missed anything??

From what I can remember from watching it on the box it ended with Sophie and Dr Harrison getting married and Miss Matty ( Judi Dench) setting a shop in the parlour of her home selling tea .. which she did well at thus saving herself from financial ruin.Also right at the end Major Gordon turns up from India with Miss Mattys long lost brother in tow .

I knew it... I think it must be my DVD player its skipped an episode. I'm going to check it out.
I heard J.D. on the radio Sunday saying they are doing a xmas special and I didn't want to be up in the air (so to speak).
