turmeric/curry stain on wool

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a curry, probably turmeric by the look of it, stain out of a woollen cardi ?

It's an old pal and I don't want to throw it out.

Unfortunately turmeric is used as a dye!! and is impossible to get out. Either dye the whole cardigan a darker shade or how about embroidering over it??

Or even outting a pocket over it if it's in the right place - or a permanent brooch!

Thanks for your suggestions, pimlico.
I might try dyeing it. Pocket isn't an option due to the position of the stains,, but embroidery is a possibility.
