As I understand it (and I probably don't understand it!) the the effects of gravity are due to the mass of an object causing local distortion of space, with the attracted object moving towards the object along the shortest possible route. This apparently answers the problem as to how there can be action at a distance (I am sure I have got this bit wrong).
If this is the case what is a gravitron - apparently a particle that carries the gravity force - is it a real particle, or a notional particle?
