How do several of us in 1 household sign in when only the last person to register is allowed? Any attemps to re-register results in being told that the user name is already taken, a third option along with automatically sign in and prompt for password ought to be available, and that is to sign in completely with your own user name and password

We have two logins. One for me and one for the missus. We just remember to sign out each time we have finished posting and don't have any trouble.

Or log in using another browser - there are plenty of good free ones - Firefox, Avant, Safari for windows...

But it shouldn't be necessary.

My name, merciasounds in there, and a prompt for the password. If my brother deletes my name, enters his and his password, it all disappears and then comes back with my name saying that his name is invalid with the password.

Try clearing cookies and browser history before trying to log in with another name.
