Is it right?

Strange class issue:

I have observed the trendy middle classes do it and the absolute underclass but not the vast middle ground.

Would you? (obviously aimed at lactating ladies)

Have you?

Are you offended or embarrassed when you see it?

Absurd that the most natural thing in the world is question for debate.

Joe!!
tigger the last time i saw a women Brest feeding was my sister friend when i was just 14 I just didnt know where to look . it may be OK to Brest feed in public to us/me the older ones . but god is it embarrassing for the young ones?
tigerlilly...I am 60,and I did it(see my answer,above)...it really should be up to the woman...and everyone else should butt out!!!
Like I said in my first post, it doesnlt bother me, what bothers me is she must have passed several dozen other areas and facilities where she could have done this, but she chose the busiest area of my department on the busiest day of the week!!! that made no sense at all!!! And her other chils commenced moving all the displays and running in and out of the glass shelving, if that child had split their head open it would have been a bit unfortunate!!!
Its really sad that there are so many people who think its wrong to breastfeed in public and that mums are embarrassed about doing it. I am not middle class or the underclass! I breastfed my son until he was 8 months old and never thought twice about doing it in public, i fed him when he was hungry, wherever i was. I never had any nasty comments or funny looks, only smiles and nice comments. I didnt flash my boobs to everyone but i didnt hide it either. yes it is true the teenagers are often embarrassed by it, my little brother was only 17 when i had my son and at first he was so embarrassed he would walk out the room, but he soon got used to it and overcame this problem!
I think we should be proud to feed our babies in public and not worry what others think, its their problem.
I do think there is an age limit though, personally i wouldnt breastfeed a child, only a baby so up to a year at the very latest.
