Repetitive strain injury from driving
1 Answers
My current job means that i spend most of my time driving and have lately been clocking up around 3000 miles per month. I have developed pains in my hands, wrists and lower back which I (and my GP) are convinced are from driving. I am currently signed off for 2wks to see if the symptons ease off. I havent been in my car for 4 days and although the pain is not as acute - i am very stiff and find standing for longer than 10 mins uncomfortable. I have been referred to a physio but my GP has advised me to see if my employer will cover private care - as it is more effective and I can be seen asap. My question is: As I do not have personal private healthcare or with work (its not offered) - is my employer in anyway able to cover the cost?
